I decided to go back and look at what was left of my favorite TCG ever: Magi-Nation. Unfortunately, it’s been reduced to a cartoon I have yet to see, but I’d prefer not to watch after seeing the few clips that I have found. I did eventually find a few things…
-Amazon still has a lot of sealed cards, including decks, boosters, and booster boxes. I feel that I may be using Christmas money and any Amazon Gift cards to get some.
-The game was more popular in Japan than it was here. This is a card game that was made in Seattle. Go figure.
-A nice fansite called Blue Furok. They have the last printed version of the rulebook and plenty of card scans. The image above is from this site and was going to be in a set that was never printed.
I dug out all of my cards (still in great shape, of course.) So I can start playing with people who are up to it. I’m starting to work on the framework of a hybrid tabletop RPG and this game and will (hopefully) go into the testing phase before the start of the next semester.
I know this post is ancient, but I wish you the best of luck with finding people to play with. MND
was is my favorite TCG ever.
Well, on a side note, a small card-playing league I started will be adapting this game at the next event along with my return to actually doing stuff in the thing I started. Maybe I’ll post pics.
