A Story, Courtesy of My Friend John...
A father once wanted to test his son to determine the depth of his character. On the kitchen table he placed a $100.00 bill, a bible and a shot of whiskey.
He reasoned if the boy picked up the money he would be a banker. Should he choose to take up the bible his son may be a minister he reasoned but if he took the shot of whiskey he would be a hopeless drunkard.
Presently the son strode into the kitchen. The father observed him through the window. The young fellow noticed the items on the table. He then stepped to the door to see if anyone was nearby. He then proceeded to drink the whiskey, pocket the money and put the bible under his arm and walked out the room.
Crestfallen the father realized he had sired a politician.
